About The Glasgow Skye Association

The Glasgow Skye Association, established on 21st April 1865, was founded by natives of the Isle of Skye who had settled in Glasgow. Their vision was to maintain a strong connection to their island roots while living in the city. Since its inception, the Association has been dedicated to fostering a sense of community, supporting education, and promoting social welfare among its members.

Over the years, the Glasgow Skye Association has evolved, but its founding values of social connection, learning, and compassion continue to guide its mission. Today, it stands as a vital link between Skye and Glasgow, honouring tradition while serving the needs of its community.
